)[1] es un objècte transneptunian dau Sistèma Solar descubèrt en 2003. D'un diamètre estimat a un milier de quilomètres, es probablament una planeta nana.
Son estructura intèrna e sa composicion son desconegudas. A una superficia de color roge sorn que sa temperatura seriá de 25 K. Es probablament cubèrta d'un jaç d'idrocarburs dau tipe tolin, d'azòt, de metanòl, de metan e d'aiga. La preséncia d'azòt indica l'existéncia possibla d'una atmosfèra efemèra.
Lo periòde orbitau de Sedna es comprés entre 11 800 e 12 100 ans. Seguís una orbita fòrça elliptica amb un afèli estimat a 960 UA e un perièli a 76 UA. Son periòde de rotacion es mau conegut ambé de calculs anant de 10 oras a 50 jorns. Enfin, Sedna auriá ges de satellit.
